Share a little love today and every day

I mentioned in last weekend’s prompt that my mom has a regular practice of making Valentine’s Day cards for her friends. After teaching a papercutting workshop last weekend, I was in the creative flow of silly puns, so I went ahead and made a bunch of papercuts with love and friendship in mind.

A good croissant will always flake on you of course. But hopefully the good friend doesn’t.

I have been in a bit of a funk with papercutting lately. Like a “do I even enjoy doing this anymore?” kind of a funk. Working on these, and not taking myself too seriously, helped me to get back in the flow of things again. A good lesson there: we always need a little play and fun in our creative practice.
