The idea with all of these retreat days is that you give yourself the gift of time. Find a quiet moment and corner. Maybe grab a notebook. Read and then listen to the music. Let the ideas of the day settle.

Welcome to the Isles of Curiosity and Wonder for our annual midsummer creative retreat! A special welcome to those of you joining us for the first time, I hope that these islands offer up some much-needed space and time for exploration.
If you’re a newcomer, it’s important to note that the geographies of the Isles of Curiosity and Wonder are constantly shifting. Everything here is permanently in flux. Of course, this is true of any landscape, any geography. Mountains will eventually become sand. A grounded tree is forever extending upwards. Microbes in the soil are breaking down detritus that eventually becomes new life. But here on the Isles this constant movement takes place at a more noticeable scale. This is a geography defined by hazy edges instead of hard absolutes.
Here, we attempt to map the unmappable. Give a contour to the thoughts, dreams, and inspiration that make up our creative lives.
