Most visitors find that it’s hard to sleep in here, as the sounds and colors of the beginnings of the day are difficult to resist. It’s an early morning kind of a place. There’s clarity to be found here before the doings of the day have muddled any thoughts. Catch it before the moment disappears.
Morning dew still covers the ground and the leaves of the wildflowers hugging the coastline. A hint of fog hangs over the water, slowly consumed by the rising sun. As you can see by the wet stones, the tide is on its way out. As she inches away from the shore, more is revealed. Keep an eye out for the oystercatchers who like to hang around here when the tide is lower and the barnacles are in abundance.
If you went for an early morning dip in the Sea of Ideas today and are feeling a little peckish from the chilly waters, second breakfast is available in the café. It is also well stocked with coffee.
