Help Make Creative Fuel Podcast Season 2

We want your feedback and input to help build out the next season.

One year ago, my friend Gale Straub and I launched the Creative Fuel podcast, an audio exploration of the intersection of creativity and our everyday lives.

I had never done any audio or podcast work before, and it was so fun to get to explore this medium and think about writing and storytelling in a whole new way. Fortunately Gale is a pro, and I am so proud of that initial season that we made together.

We covered questions like “how do we find flow?” and “how do we spend time alone?”, interviewing creatives like Bonnie Tsui (author of the excellent book Why We Swim) and

Cheryl Strayed

, as well as an assortment of scientists and other experts.

Now it’s time for season 2!

Gale and I have been scheming on this for a bit now, and we’re aiming to have a second season drop in early 2024.

As part of building out that season, we want to hear from listeners and we would love your input. Help us out by filling out this survey.

This is the part where I share a little bit about our process of making the show.

While I would love to show you a picture of Gale and I recording or working together, we live on opposite coasts and season 1 was made entirely remotely. It was very much born out of long phone conversations early on in the pandemic.

We have a long distance friendship, but we did get to see each other this summer. The first time in three years! We did a lot of in-person brainstorming about the podcast, and it led to having lots of ideas and a framework for season 2.

No recorders or microphones in sight, but plunging into water is my version of creative process in action.
