I love this approach! Now I feel less weird about having a harp, two spinning wheels, several drop spindles, two looms, lots of fleece and yarn, watercolors, pastels, acrylic, lots of (but not enough) books, not to mention fabric and a sewing machine or three. Oof!
Thank you for this! Well timed too as I recently have been stepping away from the rigidity I previously imposed on myself for the sake of “having a successful business” as an artist—it had become a slog. Moving more into “doing what I want” and hoping I can still pay the bills (and if not then I will get creative, haha).
Another list, but what an exploration! Congrats to Anna’s mom, who is never blocked creatively. I know that feeling: it isn’t that you can’t create, it’s that you wonder what are you going to work on next.

Also I love this and needed to hear this: "When I asked my mom why she doesn’t seem to get blocked she said, “well, there’s always another idea to work on.” If she’s feeling stuck in one medium, she’ll move to the next." I want to adopt this into my life and it be ok to just work on a totally different project for awhile.

A fitting tribute to your creative Mum, Anna … couldn't help but notice her love of certain specific colors shows up in the early photo of her at the loom. She wears those yellows/oranges/browns and greens better than anyone I’ve ever met.
